Martin’s Note on TOUR:SMART+ (the event formerly known as weekend revolution, DIY crash course in everything etc. etc.)
Tuesday, August 4th, 2009
There has been some confusion about what EXCACTLY we are offering in the “weekend revolution“, the “crash course in everything” etc - and, I must say, i have to agree with you - what the fuck are we trying to do? Without muddying the waters even more with lofty hyperbole and dreams, I admit that I aspire (as should all real teachers) to blow someones head off, to be the match that lights the fuse, etc. etc…
However, to be clear and to make this understandable the event should be re-titled TOUR:SMART+. tour:smart on speed, tour:smart in the flesh, but i think that TOUR:SMART+ gets it. Its all of that good stuff, the vibe behind it and the knowledge inside of it, expanded out into real world examples, discussions and workshops to make the difference in how you go about your SHIT.
For managers - bring a band member and have the things you’ve probably been telling the band already re-confirmed and illustrated in some differernt ways - sometimes it talkes more than one way to get a point across.
For artists - bring your manager or you best street team person or your web person and let us help you re-work all of this to put you in the driving seat.
For anyone else in any culture based entrepreneurial business endeavour - bring your very best open mind and lets see where we can get you.
IF you are a company that we have a relationship with and would like to look at a competition package to incentivise an aspect of your business - then call us - it is so cool to bea able to give a long term gift of knowledge and ideas rather than something physical but meaningless in the stuggle we all face…….
