OK Go’s Videos Are Now a No Go

Recording artists OK Go will no longer be able to have their videos (including the viral smash hit Here It Goes Again) embedded on fan’s websites, as their label EMI has decided that “[EMI]Â had made the decision because under their deal with YouTube they do not gain royalty payments from plays of the band’s videos that are embedded on other sites.” The band apologizes to their fans, stating that they are opposed to the labels decision.
The question “What does a band gain from being signed to a major label?” remains open.
